The New Manifesto, which was created by the STEPS Centre and its international partners, acknowledges the significant changes and difficulties our world is currently facing and provides new insights and approaches for leveraging science and innovation for development.
Our Purpose
Our goal is to promote a new development paradigm that places a strong emphasis on inclusivity, sustainability, and resilience. By doing the following, we hope to motivate and enable a worldwide network of scholars, decision-makers, innovators, and communities to collaborate to create a better future:
encouraging inclusive innovation, which makes sure that all people and communities may benefit from the latest developments in science and technology.
promoting multidisciplinary approaches that promote cross-sector and cross-disciplinary cooperation to address complex global challenges.
supporting solutions that take local needs, resources, and cultural circumstances into account.
empowering grassroots movements and community-driven innovation to take on regional and international issues head-on.
encouraging co-creation and cooperation amongst different stakeholders, including as governments, NGOs, the commercial sector, and civil society, for the successful implementation of sustainable development plans.
