Round Table Events

A series of round table events are taking place across the globe, to discuss issues highlighted in the draft Manifesto. Roundtable reports and multimedia material are featured on this page, along with further information on the events and how to run one. Argentina Roundtable - report and photos

The Argentina Manifesto roundtable was held in Buenos Aires on 10 March 2010. It was hosted at Universidad Nacional de Quilmes.

Colombia Roundtable - report and photos

The Colombia Manifesto roundtable was held in Cali on 12 March 2010. It was hosted at Corporación Biotec-Sede CIAT and convened by Myriam Sánchez.

The discussion focused broadly on agriculture, with an emphasis on life sciences applications in agriculture, agroindustry, & bioindustry in the Valle del Cauca region of Colombia.

Venezuela Roundtable - report and photos

The Venezuela Manifesto roundtable was held in Caracas on 5 March 2010. It was hosted at Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas (IVIC) and co-ordinated by Iokiñe Rodríguez, Francisco Herrera and Hebe Vessuri.

The roundtable was entitled: “Innovation, Development and Sustainability for the 21st Century: a perspective from Venezuela”.
